The head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) commission, Nicole Hoevertsz, commented on the Sports Arbitration Court’s (CAS) decision to dismiss 47 appeals from Russian athletes to participate in the Olympics, Tass reported.

“We are very satisfied with this decision. It is very important for the entire Olympic movement,” said Hoevertsz without going into the details of the hearing.

Representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency also approved CAS verdict.

As reported earlier, on February 9, CAS dismissed 47 appeals from Russian athletes to participate in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
