Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski died in Ukraine.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski," Fox News Executive Director Suzanne Scott wrote to staff Tuesday morning.

He had been reporting from Ukraine since February and was with correspondent Benjamin Hall "when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire in Horenka."

"Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered nearly every international story for FOX News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long tenure with us," she added. "His passion and talent as a journalist were unmatched," she added.

Hall remains hospitalized in Ukraine.

Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova also died in the incident, according to Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister.

Fox has not yet confirmed that Kuvshynova was working with their team.
