Units of the Russian Armed Forces are completing the defeat of the Donbas nationalist battalion, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Sunday, Interfax reported.

"During the day they advanced 12 kilometers, reached the Nikolskoye line and in cooperation with units of the Donetsk Republic blocked the Sladkoye settlement from three sides," Konashenkov said.

According to him, "up to 60 militants, two tanks, three BMPs, six guns of field artillery and mortars of the nationalists were destroyed."

"They are currently fighting the remnants of the militants and units of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian forces for the seizure of the settlements of Sladkoye, Novoukrainka and Shakhterskoye," Konashenkov said.

He said that the grouping of DNR troops continues to pursue "retreating units of the 53rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, developing an offensive in the direction of the Novomikhailovka settlement."

Konashenkov said that the Russian Air Force destroyed 89 Ukrainian military facilities during the day. "Among them: four command posts, two multiple rocket launchers, nine artillery pieces, five depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, as well as 65 places of ammunition accumulation," he said.

"Russian air defense assets shot down seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the air," a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman said.

"A total of 214 drones and 1,483 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.

According to him, 150 Ukrainian multiple rocket launchers, 584 field artillery and mortar guns, and 1,279 units of special military vehicles were eliminated.
