The gas explosion struck coal mine in Bursa province, killing nineteen miners late Thursday, Turkish Hurriyet daily reports.
According to the daily, rescue works are in progress. Six bodies were recovered from the site on Friday. Hurriyet quotes Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Omer Dincer, as saying, “Rescue teams have reached the accident area. Unfortunately, all the workers are dead.”
