YEREVAN. – Armenia’s First President and opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan was on hand at ANC’s celebratory meeting held Friday, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the country’s independence, and he also delivered a brief speech, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“Ter-Petrosyan, however, said nothing on whether or not he will run in the forthcoming presidential elections.

The matter of the Congress’ presidential candidate remains uncertain. The matter of ANC’s public rally promised for September is uncertain, too.

But Armenian National Congress Spokesperson Arman Musinyan assured our reporter that the day of the rally is not yet decided.

The Congress awaits Ter-Petrosyan’s decision and, in all likelihood, this decision will be made in October,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
