YEREVAN. – The American dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 405.75/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday, and this is a 0.12-percent—or a 0.5-point—gain from the previous trading session on October 5.

Monday’s sales totaled $4.2 million at the stock exchange.

The dollar is bought and sold at the 404-408/$1 range in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market.   

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the American dollar’s exchange rate against the dram had fallen sharply in Armenia’s financial market.    

The US currency’s average exchange rate against the dram comprised AMD 405.25/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on October 5, and this was a 0.78-percent—or an AMD 3.21—drop from the previous trading session on October 4. And this was a fairly large amplitude of fluctuation for the Armenian financial market.  

October 5 sales totaled $1.8 million at the stock exchange.

The dollar had devalued considerably in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, too. The country’s exchange offices sold the American currency at 407-408/$1 and bought it at 404-405/$1.
