YEREVAN.- Unless Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) nominates a candidate, presidential election’s result is predetermined, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters on Thursday.

Iskandaryan, head of the Caucasus Institute, said the ruling party is imposing pressure on PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan.

“Unpleasant facts of his biography are made public. The ruling party tried to impose pressure on PAP members during presidential elections,” he said.

Analyst considers that opposition Armenian National Congress bloc would hardly be able to affect election results.

“ANC polled only 7% during the parliamentary elections. Even if their candidate gets twice as much, it will hardy change anything,” he added.
