YEREVAN. – The organizing of presidential election campaigns in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan was discussed during the talk that was held between Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and members of the OSCE long-term election observation delegation.

The mayor underscored the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and international organizations and, also, gave a high assessment to the OSCE’s mission during the pre-election and election processes, Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs.

“The municipal authorities stand ready to properly organize [in Yerevan] Armenia’s presidential election [to be held on February 18] and to ensure equal conditions for all candidates,” Margaryan noted.

Also, the mayor stressed that the Municipality has already placed 715 complimentary boards all through the capital city, so that the campaign posters of the presidential contenders can be placed on them. In addition, 33 halls will be allocated to the candidates at no cost.

Welcoming these actions by the Municipality, the OSCE delegation members noted that they will prepare a report, at the end of their mission, and present it to the public.

In his turn, Taron Margaryan highlighted that the Municipality will be persistent so that all the necessary activities in Yerevan are organized in proper fashion.
