YEREVAN. – The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is preparing to take an active part in capital city Yerevan’s Council of Elders election, which will be held in May.

The second political force in the country already made an “internal decision” to wage a “municipal war.” They are not satisfied by the activities of the mayor of Yerevan, Zhoghovurd daily’s well-informed sources report.

“Nonetheless, Zhoghovurd attempted to verify [this] information from Prosperous Armenia Party Spokesperson, Tigran Urikhanyan, who said: ‘There has not been any formal discussion so far, and therefore we do not have any official information.’

In the meantime, our PAP sources claim that the names of those that will head the list likewise are being discussed, not ruling out the option of the leaders of the previous election,” Zhoghovurd writes.
