YEREVAN. – Armenia’s presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan—who is on a hunger strike ever since January 21—spent last night in a normal health condition, Emergency Medical Assistance Service Director Taguhi Stepanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. She added that Ghukasyan is in normal state and his blood pressure was 90/60 on Thursday morning.

To note, Ghukasyan’s health condition took a sharp turn for the worse Wednesday, and he was even unable to speak with news reporters. Sometime thereafter, however, the presidential hopeful’s health condition somewhat stabilized yet he still could not communicate with the journalists.

Representatives from Andreas Ghukasyan’s campaign headquarters and an ambulance staff are on 24-hour duty at his side.
