March 5, RF First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Denisov met with Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu in Moscow within the framework of Russia-Turkey inter-ministerial consultations.

The officials discussed international and regional issues, including the situation in Caucasus, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, the situation in Iraq and Middle East, as well as the developments of Iran’s nuke program, RF Foreign Ministry press service reports.

The parties expressed content with the high-level Russia-Turkey mutual relations and exchanged views on the prospects of further cooperation.

As NEWS.am reported previously, March 5, during his speech devoted to the adoption of Armenian Genocide Resolution by U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu emphasized Russia’s major role in the solution of regional conflicts. “Caucasus is a common geographical area for Turkey and Russia. We believe that will build joint future with Russia,” Davutoglu noted.
