The fact that Guantanamo detainees were sent to Georgia is offensive to the country, said People’s party leader Koba Davitashvili.

“The fact that Guantanamo prisoners will freely live in our country indicates that U.S. considers Georgia one big jail. This is offensive to us, though corresponds to reality. Indeed, Georgia is a one big prison”, the party’s official statement reads.

Besides, the party reckons that bringing those three detainees from Guantanamo poses terrorist threat to the country.
