Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze suddenly left for Afghanistan last night. Talking to journalists at the Tbilisi airport, he reported that the Georgian delegation is visiting the Georgian peace-makers in that country.
“We plan to get acquainted with the conditions of our military contingent in Afghanistan. We are interested in our mission worthily representing Georgia in fighting international terrorism,” he said.
Bkradze stressed that Georgia is “seriously” represented in Afghanistan, “contributing” to maintaining international security.
Georgia has 920 servicemen in Afghanistan.
