Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met U.S. Vice President Joe Biden in Washington, Georgian GHN agency reports.

Biden reiterated U.S. support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. According to the White House information, the officials discussed bilateral relations, common values, democracy, freedom and respect for human rights.

U.S. Vice President thanked Saakashvili for sending troops to Afghanistan to fight against international terrorism.

Within the framework of the visit Saakashvili held meetings with Senators Richard Lugar and John Sidney McCain, as well as other Senators.
