In Istanbul, religious communities’ representatives made a joint statement on friendship and peace timed to Ramadan.

Trdat Uzunyan — Armenian diocese representative, Yusuf Cetin — Patriarch of Assyrian community, Yusuf Sag — Catholic Assyrian community leader, Paisiy Kokinaki from Greek Patriarchate participated at the meeting, Turkish mass media reports.

Sarkis Seropyan, Chief Editor of Agos daily published in Istanbul, informed NEWS.am that Turks lay tables under the tents during Ramadan holy month, inviting also other religious representatives. “Sometimes Armenian clergy are present at the meetings too,” Chief Editor added.
