The 200-year-old Armenian cave church, which is on the road of the Altındere neighborhood of the Bahçesaray District of Turkey’s Van Province—and which is also known as Dera Geli, in Kurdish, is being destroyed by treasure hunters.

There are obscene writings on the church walls, many parts of this structure are damaged by treasure hunters, and shepherds use it as a barn, reported Akunq.

According to the source, this magnificent church has been left to the mercy of fate, and the competent Turkish government agencies take no initiative to save it.
