YEREVAN. – A total of 29,914 children were born in Armenia, from January to September.
Karine Kuyumjyan, Head of the Census and Demography Division at the National Statistical Service, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.
She added that this indicator is less by 2.3 percent—or by 704 babies, as compared to the same period in 2015.
In addition, the number of births in the country also decreased—by 0.3, per one thousand people—over the course of the past one year.
