YEREVAN. - Former serviceman Davit Hakobyan violated the law, attempting a phone terrorism.
Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan stated the aforementioned in the parliament on Wednesday, responding to the question of Heritage Party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan.
The latter recalled the case of 27-year-old David Hakobyan, a former serviceman, who acquired disability. Having been refused to undergo treatment abroad and desperate to somehow attract attention, he phoned the reception of the Armenian President’s administration and informed about a planted bomb.
“He was imprisoned for half a year, without even applying conditional sentence,” the MP said.
In response, the Defense Minster Vigen Sargsyan stated that Hakobyan committed a penal crime. “This was a phone terrorism attempt. Therefore, he must be held liable,” Sargsyan added.
