The voluntary option of insurance payments for servicemen can also be discussed.

Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction Vahram Baghdasaryan stated the aforementioned during the parliamentary briefings on Friday.

The 1000 AMD insurance payment, which is proposed to be collected from the salaries of Armenian citizens, can be mandatory, as proposed in the Government bill. But the option of turning it into a voluntary one can also be discussed. “Different ideas can be discussed in the parliament. This can also be considered,” Baghdasaryan said.

Nevertheless, there can be no doubt in the importance of supporting the army, thus the RPA supported the Government bill on insurance payments in the first reading, he added.
