The Armenian market will exclude production, which has not undergone quality check in laboratories.

Head of the State Food Security Service Ishkhan Karapetyan said the aforementioned at the meeting with milk producers on Tuesday.

In his words, the manufacturers must observe the quality requirements. Thus, samples should be taken from each consignment of goods: part of them should be sent for a laboratory test, while the other part should be left in the company. “Then, if we reveal quality violations, you can immediately call back the contaminated or expired products.  Some of you have agreements with laboratories, but they unfortunately remain on paper. I urge you to observe these agreements,” Karapetyan noted.

According to the official, it is necessary to exclude manufacturing of milk products without pasteurization. Unfortunately, it is still possible to come across such examples, he said. In some cases even milk products made in washing machines (which are used instead of separators if made at home) find their way to the shop.

“We will rule out anything like this. Our inspectors will be consistent. We will screw the neck of anyone of them who tries to “make an arrangement” with the violators,” Karapetyan concluded.
