Russia and the United States should cooperate, Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev told Associated Press. 

“Russian and U.S. leaders must sit down for talks and ‘stay at the table until they reach agreement”, he said.

According to Gorbachev, the relations between two countries are very important at the same time this concerns all other countries.

 “The world needs Russia and the United States to cooperate. Together, they could lead the world ... to a new path”, Former Soviet leader added.

Besides, Mikhail Gorbachev criticized Western countries for their attitude towards Russia.
