If Azerbaijan decides to purchase Iron Dome air defense system from Israel, this may be considered as a successful turn of events for the Armenian side.

Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute, Sergey Minasyan, who is also a political analyst, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In his words, the deal can be considered successful from the standpoint that Azerbaijan will have to pay lots of money, while Armenia has recently obtained Iskander missile systems by very favorable conditions.  

“I don’t think that Baku can find means for acquiring Israeli air defense system and if they find such, it is a big issue whether these systems can resist Iskander or other types of weapons,” the analyst said.
