The gunman who attacked Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov at an art exhibition in Ankara has been killed by police officer during an armed clash.  

The police managed to neutralize the gunman about 45 minutes after the attack, Turkish newspaper Millyet reports.

The gunman approached the art exhibition, which Andrey Karlov attended, at 7:00 pm. He said something about Aleppo and fired at the ambassador.

The latter was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
