At least eight people were killed and other 12 were wounded as a blast hit Damascus on Sunday.

The media reported about a suicide bomber who blew himself up in Tahrir square, RIA Novisti reported.

Syrian police had been chasing three suspected car bombers that were trying to enter the capital, BBC said. Police managed to stop two of the vehicles.
