Official representative of Argentina's navy Enrique Balbe did not rule out that the 44 crew members of San Juan submarine may still be alive in an “extreme survival situation”, Reuters reported.

“We’ve been searching for 11 days but that does not remove the chance that they could still be in an extreme survival situation,” Mr Balbi said.

Norwegian vessels are involved in the search campaign continuing off the coast of Argentina.
