The candidacy of US President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize a few weeks after he initiated the normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE, Fox News reported.
This proposal was made by the member of the Norwegian MP Christian Tybring-Gjedde, who praised Trump's efforts to resolve conflicts in the world.
In his letter to the Nobel Committee, Tybring-Gjedde says the Trump administration has played a key role in creating relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
As other countries in the Middle East are expected to follow the example of the UAE, this agreement could be the turning point that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity, the Norwegian MP said in a letter.
