Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg has slammed the climate policy of US President Joe Biden’s administration, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Thunberg had called on voting for Biden during the US presidential election. In an interview with MSNBC, Thunberg was asked to assess the actions that the new administration has taken to solve environmental issues.

“You should rather look at the science and see whether his policies are in line with the Paris Agreement…and then you can clearly see that, no, it’s not enough in line,” Thunberg said and urged the President to treat the climate crisis like a crisis.

“They have said themselves that this is an existential threat, and they better treaty it accordingly, which they are not. They are treating the climate crisis as it was a political topic,” she said.

A short while after his Inauguration, President Biden signed a decree on the US returning to the Paris Agreement from which the US had pulled out under Donald Trump’s administration.
