The producer of Georgian Imedi TV channel Badri Afansyev claimed political asylum in Russia. According to Daghestani Federal Security Service (FFC), Afansyev has made an application asking for political asylum in the FFC frontier department at Yarag-Kazmalyar check point. Georgian citizen maintains that he is chased by Georgian authorities for links with opposition.
