Scientists from the Heart Institute in Los Angeles have found that antibodies that appear in those who have had COVID-19 can mistakenly attack healthy cells of organs and tissues of the body. The results of the study were published on January 8 in the Journal of Translational Medicine, Izvestia reports.
According to the analysis, a few months after a person has suffered from coronavirus, his antibody titer grows, which can work incorrectly and harm the body.
This, in 177 medical workers who had an infection before vaccination, persistent antibodies were detected for six months, which could cause chronic inflammation, damage to joints, skin and nervous system.
A similar danger of antibodies is recorded in some other diseases. Measles is especially famous in this regard.
