Traffic on the Ambassador Bridge, which links Windsor (Ontario) and Detroit (Michigan), was almost completely blocked by Canada, reports CBC.

The reason for the protest was the restrictions imposed due to the situation with the coronavirus.

People who oppose the new ban blocked traffic on the bridge, setting up trucks, pickups and cars. Currently, there is only one lane (from the United States to Canada).

Those who went to the protests explained that they support truckers.

The trucks were parked south of the police checkpoint on Metcalfe Street. The protest itself has been going on for the second week.

Police officers note that there are about 500 trucks in the main protest area. It is difficult to remove the trucks due to their pneumatic brakes that block the 18 wheels of the truck.

In addition, a state of emergency was declared in the Canadian city of Ottawa.
