Czech Republic was the last EU member state to sign Lisbon Treaty. The agreement officially known as EU Constitution is designed to change the workings of the European Union (EU). The ratification process of the treaty completed. Czech Republic had set forth certain preconditions that were met thereupon. Particularly, it concerned the provisions, according to which in case Czechia ratifies them, it might face problems connected with Suddet-Germans demands.

The fears were dispelled by EU member states and Czech Government signed the treaty.
