In the World Happiness Report 2025, Armenia is ranked 87th out of 147 countries in terms of the happiness of these countries’ residents.

Among Armenia's neighboring countries, Georgia is 91st, Azerbaijan is 106th, and Turkey is 94th.

Finland has been named the world’s happiest country for the eighth year in a row, according to a ranking that experts say factors in as well the countries’ access to nature and strong social security systems.

Also, the study found that strangers are about twice as kind as people think.

The report, which collected data from around the world, found also that believing in the kindness of others is more closely linked to happiness than previously thought.

The 13th annual World Happiness Report, which is released to coincide with the International Day of Happiness proclaimed by the United Nations, ranks the world’s happiest countries.

The survey, published by the Wellbeing Research Center at Oxford University, asked people to rate their lives on a scale of 0 to 10, with zero being the worst and 10—the best possible.

The country rankings are based on the average of these scores over the course of three years.
