U.S. President Donald Trump held talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, CNN reported, citing a White House representative.

On Thursday night, Israel launched airstrikes against Iran, targeting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities. The Israeli Air Force struck uranium enrichment sites in Natanz and Fordow, missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorramabad, as well as Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and other major Iranian cities.

As a result of the attacks, IRGC commander Hossein Salami, Chief of the General Staff Mohammad Bagheri, Commander of the IRGC's Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, and other high-ranking military officials were killed, along with six nuclear scientists. Iranian agencies also reported explosions at the Natanz nuclear facility. In total, 78 people were killed and more than 300 injured due to the Israeli strikes.

In response, Iran launched missiles toward Israel. So far, reports indicate 22 people have been injured as a result of Tehran’s retaliation.
