Japanese diplomat Yukiya Amano is appointed to the position of General Director for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to replace Mohamed ElBaradei who resigned after expiry of the term in November 2009.
Assuming the office, Amano said he would be “impartial, reliable, and professional director general,” The Jerusalem Post reports, referring to AP.
