A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey today, December 4 at 8:02 a.m. local time. The epicenter was near Buharkent town of Aydin province (southwestern Turkey).
According to Anatolia news agency, the quake sparked panic among residents and cracked the walls of several buildings. No causalities and victims were reported, Hurriyet informs referring to Istanbul-based Kandilli observatory Web site.
