The world's largest electronics market, Huatian Bei, located in the Chinese city of Shenzhen (southern Guangdong province), has been closed for four days due to a local outbreak of covid, stated a report published on Monday by the COVID-19 control headquarters of the city's Futian district.

All electronics store employees were ordered to go home by Sept. 1. As a result, an entire chain of large shopping malls located in the neighborhood was closed. Local media reported that stores will continue to take orders, but with the shipment is still no clarity.

The Huatian Bei Market is an entire shopping district with dozens of large malls selling a variety of electronics on a pedestrian street in the central Futian district. It is extremely popular with both locals and shoppers from all over the world, including Russia. You can buy various gadgets or other electronic equipment both retail and wholesale. Many electronics retailers around the world use this market to find suppliers from China.

The local government went on a partial lockdown after only a few cases of covid infections were detected in the Futian and Lohu districts of the city. Authorities imposed a four-day house quarantine on all residents of six streets in those areas. Metro operations and all business activity have also been suspended.
