The UAE authorities cancelled most of the covid restrictions for foreign tourists, including the Russians, from November 7, the Gulf News reported, citing a statement of the National Authority for Emergency Situations and Disaster Management.

Al Hosn, aka Green Pass, is no longer required to visit public places.

The Al Hosn app will only be used to confirm vaccination certificates and PCR test results inside and outside the country upon request, the statement said.

Besides, wearing masks becomes optional in all open and closed institutions, including places of worship and mosques, with the exception of medical facilities and centers for people with disabilities.

The organizers of sports and other mass events may require visitors to undergo screening or present a certificate of vaccination. They may decide whether or not they need to check depending on the type or importance of the event.

Medical facilities for PCR testing and treatment will continue to operate. And the five-day isolation period for those infected with COVID-19 will still apply, the agency added.
