December 6, 2009 a major blast occurred in petrochemical plant owned by Rosneft Oil Company in Angarsk, Irkutsk Region, Russia. The explosion killed one of the workers Eduard Aslamov, Interfax reports referring to regional emergency officials.
No harmful emissions into the atmosphere following an explosion were registered, local officials said.
Criminal proceedings were instituted.
