December 24, 2009 blast in chemical plant in Osaka, Japan killed four people and wounded several others.

The explosion occurred when the workers were conducting maintenance work Morita Chemical Industries factory, Kyodo agency reports referring to representatives of local law enforcement agencies.

According to factory administration, no emissions of harmful substances were registered.

Presently, firemen, medics and policemen are working in the emergency site.
