Israeli President Shimon Peres stated that it was Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon’s mistake that caused disagreement between Israel and Turkey, Jerusalem Post reports.

The source quotes President as saying, “This is not diplomacy but rather a mistake by one person. It’s good that this man, the deputy foreign minister, fixed his mistake.”

As NEWS.am reported earlier, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon in Tel-Aviv invited Turkish Ambassador to Israel Ahmet Oguz to the meeting. Turkish official was seated in a low armchair, while Ayalon was in much higher chair. Ayalon also expressed discontent with anti-Israeli TV show aired on Turkish TV. Turkish authorities demanded official apology from Israel.

Today Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that he is content with official apology of Israel.
