YEREVAN. – The law On private body-guards will be put in power since Jan. 1 next year, while the President has confirmed it on March 1 this year. In order to ensure compliance with the law, the police have started disarming individuals who work as body-guards.

“The law which will be put in power early next year will not only bring the activity of body-guards into a legal field but also will solve the issue of their license. In addition, the law limits the number of body-guards to three for each citizen, and it requires obtaining a license regardless of their bosses,” MP, head of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of Armenian Parliament Hrayr Karapetyan said, commenting the initiative of police for the Armenian News-NEWS.am.
