STEPANAKERT.- President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received on Friday a delegation of the Yerevan municipality headed by Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Issues related to further deepening of ties between the two Armenian capitals were discussed during the meeting.
President Sahakyan noted that expanding relations with the Armenian capitalwould substantially boost socioeconomic development of Stepanakert and the entire Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh]. In this context, the President welcomed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Yerevan and Stepanakert city municipalities labeling it as a necessary legal basis for further development of cooperation.
Bako Sahakyan also handed the “Gratitude” medal to the director of the “Nork-Marash” medical center Lida Mouradyan.
Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan, healthcare minister Zoya Lazaryan and other officials were present at the meeting.
