YEREVAN. – The opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) decided to not to give up its spots at the electoral precinct commissions to any of the candidates that are running for president in the forthcoming presidential elections, 168 Zham daily reports.

“According to that decision, the ANC members and activists will be designated to those spots. ANC believes that the 32,000 drams [approx. $78.62], which the state pays them for commission membership, will become an additional income for the ANC members.

Since ANC does not have its own candidate in the election [which will be held on February 18] and the ANC commission members have no motives to fight against election fraud, they could turn a blind eye to election fraud, naturally, for an additional payment,” 168 Zham writes.
