YEREVAN. – Zhamanak daily reflected on Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s rich diet, and noted that it is unacceptable for a rational man. 

“This predilection of the NA speaker became apparent also during his visit to Brussels, from January 8 to 10. Abrahamyan met with European Parliament [EP] President Martin Schulz, who had invited the Armenian delegation for a breakfast. Sitting around the breakfast table, the Armenian NA speaker points to the food and says: ‘If we had known that we would have such luxurious, solid breakfast, we would not have had supper in the evening.’       

And despite knowing that this breakfast is a part of the official protocol and it is being videotaped, Abrahamyan could not hide his delight by seeing the luxurious [breakfast] table. 

Incidentally, in the video that is posted on the EP website, [it is shown that] the NA speaker walked casually ahead of the EP president during the talk between Abrahamyan and Schulz. It is noticeable in that episode that Schulz, who is walking behind Abrahamyan, almost sneers,” Zhamanak writes.
