Turkish parliament's Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party has submitted a proposal to open a parliamentary inquiry into the murder of Hrant Dink, chief editor of Agos newspaper.

The proposal was submitted to the Parliamentary Speaker’s Office on Jan. 21 by a group of BDP deputies, Hurriyet Daily News reported.

The MPs said public servants who neglected their duties deliberately or unintentionally were not investigated at all.

Hrant Dink, chief editor of the Armenian newspaper Agos, was shot dead outside his office January 19, 2007.
