Following his brief meeting in Davos, Switzerland, with Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev, Georgia’s Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili expressed confidence toward a new meeting.
He noted that no issue was raised during their talk, and the chances of new meetings were not discussed, either. But, as per Ivanishvili, this does not mean such meetings will not take place, Novosti Gruzia News Agency reports.
Also, Ivanishvili assured that the ties will continue on other dimensions, and added that there is an apparent improvement in relations. He stressed that the airway link between Russia and Georgia needs to be restored and, also, to move forward.
To note, this brief conversation between Dmitry Medvedev and Bidzina Ivanishvili was the first contact between the PMs of the two countries ever since the breaking of their diplomatic ties in 2008.
