YEGHVARD. – The rusty locks on abandoned wooden houses leave a bad impression, and this cannot be looked upon coldheartedly. The ruling Republican Party presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan said this on Thursday during his talk with the voters at Yeghvard city of Kotayk Region, Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informs.
“Often you come across rusty locks at the entrances of our village homes. A fading village is the only thing that infuriates me. But, in any case, that is our pain and problem, and we need to address it.
We will continue stimulating the banking sector to help for village development. I believe what we have done in the past five years has some importance for the village.
We will continue the policy of providing affordable loans and just as affordable fuel [for the villages]. At the same time, the matter of [acquiring] affordable agricultural machinery must be resolved, too,” Sargsyan specifically said.
