YEREVAN.- EU attaches great importance to Armenia’s presidential elections, head of EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea said.
Answering reporters’ question during the opening of EU center in Yerevan, Hristea said they really expect that the elections will be held in accordance with the international commitments.
Asked about prospects for the centers’ activities in the context of problems within EU, the Ambassador said EU as a project has been born out of challenges and out of difficulties.
“For us difficulties are good because it makes us to come closer to each other. So from this prospect I am happy that the center is opening and that people here in Armenia will get a clearer, better and much more updated information on what EU actually does in this country,” he said.
