YEREVAN.- Armenian presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan, who has been on hunger strike since January 21, trusts political experience of other contender Paruyr Haayrikyan.

New elections must be held in the current political situation, he told Armenian News-NEWS.am on Tuesday.

“It would be a blow to criminal oligarchy, Nevertheless, I do respect the decision made by Paruyr Hayrikyan,” he said.

Speaking about positive and negative sides of Hayrikyan’s decision, presidential candidate mentioned that attack on Hayrkiyan was “a component of fake elections.”

“The positive thing is that attack did not impact the political processes,” he emphasized.
