STEPANAKERT. – The Azerbaijani army started large-scale military exercises at the line of contact with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). The Azerbaijani news media report that the leadership of the NKR MOD likewise is following these drills, which will continue until the end of this week. 

Upon the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am, NKR MOD Press Secretary Senor Hasratyan commented on these drills, and noted that Azerbaijan’s military exercises will in no way affect Karabakh’s security.  

He stressed that Nagorno-Karabakh likewise conducts military drills and events, within the framework of its education program, to raise the security of its Defense Army.
